Naymz is a professional social networking platform that allows users to network with other professionals and manage their online reputation.
Naymz claims to have over 1 million members on their homepage[1]. According to analytics tracking company Quantcast, Naymz is a top 5,000 web site that reaches over 860K monthly people, of which 392K (46%) are in the U.S. The site is popular among a more educated, 35-49, slightly more male than female, fairly wealthy audience[2].
History
Naymz was founded by Nolan Bayliss, Tony Czupryna, and Tom Drugan in January of 2006[3]. The three founders previously worked at and met at the online travel company Orbitz in Chicago[4]. Naymz launched to the public in June, 2006[5].
Importance
Naymz is one of the first Web 2.0 sites that provided utilities for Online Reputation Management (ORM) services. Other sites providing similar services include ClaimID , ReputationDefender, and LinkedIn.
In September of 2007, Naymz added social networking to its platform and a proprietary Reputation Scoring system called RepScore[6].
Naymz has appeared in print and digital news articles in leading media outlets, including USA Today[7], ABC News[8], NPR[9], Wall St. Journal[10] and Washington Post[11].
