Solestruck is an American e-commerce company based in Wilsonville, Oregon. Founded in 2004, the company sells women's shoes from over 60 brands,[1] including Steve Madden, Kenneth Cole, New Balance athletic shoes, and other name brands. The Solestruck site is popular with a mainly female, youthful audience[2].
History
The company was founded in 2004 and in December 2007, Solestruck launched a campaign to encourage customers to "give the gift of shoes". Including donation forms with each order and also offering them online, the company offered customers a 5% discount for each pair of shoes donated, up to 15% total.[3] Benefiting charities included the National Relief Charities and Soles4Souls. In 2009, the company opened a temporary brick and mortar store in Portland, Oregon, its first physical retail store.[1]
