Resource Nation provides online and offline resources to help start and grow a business. The online services include free resources and services for small business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs. The company's core service is a vendor locator service, which allows businesses to compare service provider companies based on price, geographic region, industry specialty, and other specifications.
Resource Nation also produces free how-to guides[1], downloadable business forms, and other articles and guides on business and entrepreneurial topics.[2] Resource Nation also provides advice and guidance for new companies through the StartMeUp program, and has been mentioned in several national publications[3] as a source of information for small businesses.
Both the vendor matching and StartMeUp services have been launched as co-branded programs offered by major online business communities, including Entrepreneur.com, Dell, StartUpNation.com, and Ladies Who Launch.
The company is located in San Diego, California and has an office in Boston, Massachusetts.
History
Resource Nation was launched in 2006 by Ryan Peddycord as a vendor locator tool for entrepreneurs. In January 2009, former Fortune 500 CEO Kenneth Hamlet was named chairman of the Board of Directors.[4]
Services Provided
Resource Nation provides online and offline resources to help start and grow a business. Its core vendor locator service connects businesses to local and national pre-screened vendors in over 100 business categories including payroll processing, web design, Point of Sale systems, VoIP phone systems, and other categories. This service is free for businesses, and vendors pay a nominal fee for each potential buyer they are matched with.
The StartMeUp program offers a dedicated consultant and road map that guides entrepreneurs and small businesses through the process of starting or growing a business.
