Overview
JPicus is a JavaTM I/O analysis framework. It consists of the following major parts:
- Agent - it plugs into the JavaTM Virtual Machine and collects I/O analysis data, like open file handles, byte counters etc
- User interface - Eclipse based user interface that lets the user take a snapshot and visualise it
JPicus is similar to Java CPU and memory allocation profilers with the difference that it operates in the I/O domain.
