Founded by Mr. Hans Robben in 2001. GET has combined WEB 2.0 and B2B community technology with a daily business functionality: World wide perishable products, prices, trade and transactions.
Services
eFresh.com operates as a business-to-business e-commerce platform[1] in the international fresh produce industry. It provides software, technology, and other services connecting small and medium-sized buyers and suppliers. The company offers a platform for international trade, domestic trade, and retail trade; and provides business services related to trading, transaction financing, and online marketing and management software. The company’s listings displayed on its online marketplace cover the whole range of products and services in various fresh produce industries, including agriculture, aquaculture, and horticulture.
Business
In 2009 eFresh.com has transformed from eight vertical fresh portals for businesses to buy and sell fresh products, to one global marketplace. The company's headoffice is in Zaandijk in The Netherlands, and has offices in France, the Caribbean, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Mr. Hans Robben, is the biggest share holder in the company and also participated in subsequent rounds of financing. In January 2009 GET Holding NV announced the fact that they raised 4.25 million Euro in funding from an investment round in which Rabobank also participated.[2].
Donar van den Berg of Rabobank: "The Rabobank supports this Dutch initiative. This investment matches our Food & Agri ambitions. We highly consider both “durability” and “Corporate Social Responsibility” which match well with the activities of GET. The possibilities of the platform are scalable and endless."[3]
