The Complete Index to World Film (citwf or citwf.com) is an online database of information related to movies, actors and, most recently, fictional characters featured in visual entertainment media. Citwf, compiled online by Alan Goble and Valen Publishing since 2004, is a Guinness Record as the world's largest published film-related database, with over 540,000 title entries.[1]
In 1999, The Complete Index to World Film Since 1895 was published by author Brad Eden with three volumes (ISBN 1857392523)[2] and a CD version.[3]
Overview
The Complete Index to World Film since 1895 contains information on over 437,600 films produced in most countries of the world between 1888 and 2008. In addition, there are over 470,000 references to books and journals and virtually all of these publications are held in our library. Subscription is only available to libraries and institutions and the version provided contains no advertising.
