AtTask, Inc. is a project management software company based in Utah. The firm was founded in 2001.
Its flagship product, @task 4, is a platform-independent, web-based project management suite which includes task management, issue tracking, document management, time tracking, and portfolio management.[1]
History
AtTask began in 2001 when a group of software developers, working from various geographic locations on a variety of projects, needed a collaborative solution that could aid in project planning, project status reporting, and could keep clients in their feedback loop. The result of this initiative was @task, a browser-based project management solution.
In February 2007, Joe Cardenas, former Senior Vice President and CIO of Salesforce.com joined AtTask's board.[2]
In June 2007, AtTask raised $7 million of venture funding from OpenView Venture Partners.[3] The funding was earmarked for further product development and expanding marketing efforts.[4][5]
Software
In 2006, AtTask released a complete rewrite of its product. The rewrite delivered new technologies such as: an "approachable" simplified user interface[6] that utilizes AJAX[7] for responsiveness and shorter page loading times, a JMS based event model, Cluster configuration, i18n compliance, SaaS options, and Web Services for product integration.
AtTask claims to be the first SaaS-based project management solution to allow users to bring their own data in-house.
