Hey, I recently moved to a brand new niche- card & board games (Hearts, Rummy, Euchre, Crazy Eights, Chinchon, 66, Dominoes, Backgammon, Ludo etc.). I do have some experience playing online pоker & chess for 10 years but have never optimized such websites. Have been doing SEO for 8+ years but only in one very different specialized niche.  The other main difference is the main website features 8 languages and so far I've dealt only with English websites. The main website features HTML 5 games that can be played both on desktop, on Facebook or via ioS/Android app.

I'm about to prepare a strategy on how to optimize the main website in the near future.

I know some of the basic principles are the same no matter the niche. I'm planning to start with a full onsite audit (check the mobile version, page speed, broken links, anchors, missing tittles, description, image issues etc. etc.), work on the blog & content marketing as a whole, check out main competitors, look what kind of posts & links they built etc.

What about any niche-specific tips & ideas? Anyone that has some experience in this or similar niche?

I've subscribed for Ahrefs & Google alerts for related terms to see what is trending in the industry, get inspiration for backlinks, content etc.

So, any ideas would help to further shape my plan & strategy.

Sounds like you've got a good plan set out.

Just keep aware of any new board and card games coming out and try to feature them on your page asap to gain more viewers.

Thanks for your reply, @RuskinF!

Will definitely keep an eye on new games, although our approach is to focus more on traditional card and board games (ex. Dominoes, Backgammon, Ludo, Four in a Row etc.)
