And there is a website competitor ( sms.ir ) that have only 14,367 links from 89 Domains ( newbielink:https://majestic.com/reports/site-explorer?q=sms.ir&oq=sms.ir&IndexDataSource=F [nonactive] ) But this site is always be so close to our keyword searches and in some cases its going higher than our website. Whereas we post at least a unique article, have good titles, more backlinks and more domain referring and etc. Also we haven't similar keywords or title ! Is it possible that is related to our alexa PR ?

Please guide me in this problem and tell me What is more important than Backlinks that I don't know ?

It is possible that the competitor's website is ranking higher in some keyword searches due to factors other than backlinks. While backlinks are important for search engine optimization, they are not the only factor that determines rankings. Other factors such as website content, user experience, relevance to search queries, site structure, and social signals can also play a role.

To improve your website's ranking, you can focus on the following:

1. Content: Ensure that your website has high-quality, unique, and engaging content that is relevant to your target audience. Regularly update and optimize your content with relevant keywords.

2. On-page optimization: Optimize your page titles, meta descriptions, headings, and URL structures to make it easier for search engines and users to understand the content of your pages.

3. User experience: Make sure your website is user-friendly, fast-loading, and mobile-friendly. Improve navigation, site structure, and overall user experience to encourage visitors to stay on your website.

4. Local SEO: Since your keyword is in a local language, focus on local SEO strategies such as optimizing your website for local keywords, claiming your business on local directories, and getting positive reviews from local customers.

5. Social media presence: Build a strong social media presence and engage with your audience. Sharing and promoting your content on social media platforms can help increase visibility and drive traffic to your website.

6. Authority and trust: Work on building your website's authority and trustworthiness by acquiring high-quality backlinks from reputable websites within your industry or niche. Focus on building relationships and creating valuable content that others would naturally want to link to.

7. Local listings: Ensure that your business is listed accurately and consistently on local directories, such as Google My Business, Bing Places, and Yelp. Optimizing these listings can help improve your visibility in local searches.

8. Mobile optimization: With the increasing use of mobile devices for internet browsing, it is crucial to have a mobile-friendly website. Optimize your website's design and functionality to provide a seamless user experience across different devices.

9. Site speed: Page loading speed is an important factor for both user experience and search engine rankings. Optimize your website's performance by compressing images, minifying CSS and JavaScript files, and leveraging caching techniques.

10. User engagement metrics: Search engines also consider user engagement metrics, such as bounce rate, time on page, and click-through rates, when evaluating the quality and relevance of your website. Focus on creating engaging content and improving user engagement to signal to search engines that your website provides value to users.

11. Structured data markup: Implementing structured data markup using schema.org can help search engines understand the structured content on your website better. This can enhance your chances of getting rich snippets in search results, which can improve click-through rates.

12. Social signals: While social media doesn't directly impact search engine rankings, having a strong social media presence can indirectly benefit your SEO efforts. Sharing your content on social media platforms can increase visibility, attract more traffic, and potentially generate more backlinks to your website.

While Alexa PR (PageRank) used to be an important metric in the past, it is no longer a reliable indicator of a website's ranking. Search engines now use more complex algorithms that take into account a multitude of factors to determine rankings.

Overall, it is important to have a holistic approach to SEO, focusing on various aspects of your website and online presence to improve rankings and visibility in search engine results.

You have more backlinks than your competitor but I guess you lack in quality as well as relevancy. Google only gives importance to relevant and quality backlinks. I would advise you to check your competitor backlinks to get an initial idea as how to move on with your SEO strategy.

I totally agree to Alex. You should go for Competitor Analysis.

Also, as per your question, Quality Relevant Backlinks are must to increase your Domain Rank as well as Page Rank.

Well let's put it this way.

For starters google looks at all the meta data of your site. If this site has a clean layout that greatly appeals to the search crawlers then that's another point towards page rank.

Does the site's photos have proper alternate tags? There's another point. Does the keyword density fall right on 8% for the major keywords? Another couple points.

Now let's get to your main issue. You said the word "backlink" but I don't think you actually understand the full meaning behind it and page rank. I can get thousands of backlinks easier and faster than you could write that question, however those links are worthless. If this dude has a hundred backlinks from prominent websites then those could be worth a hundred thousand normal class links.

chiako try to analyse your competitior's links and compare it with your own. Best service is ahrefs.com but it requires paid subscription for full list of backlinks. I don't have that but even with free one (you have to register) you could see that your competitor has "batter" links. Lets simplify that picture. Suppose 1 site has 1000 backlinks with PR0 and trust 0.1 and abother has 1 backlink with PR8 and trust 5. Who do you thin will get more link juice? And who is more likely would be higher on SERP on the same search with the same kind of article? Of course the later site.

So basically you should try to work on the quality of the backlinks. Quantity you already got. Another important thing - make sure the anchor text is not the same.

Page rank is a mark of Importance of web page over WWW . Back-links aren't only Factor to get a good Page rank . Few Other Key Elements are Optimization, Quality Content, Domain Age, Bounce Rate, Loading time etc...

For this you need to focus on quality content. Provide good quality of fresh & unique content so that visitors will automatically start to follow your website. By having visitors coming from different parts, your website will start to highlight more & it support to boost PR.

Page rank without backlink is impossible. You need to make high quality backlinks in order to get more customers on your website. The more your website is informative the more it will attain traffic on it and it will turn maximum number of visitors into potential buyers for your website as well.
