Does Social Exchanger Sites Help?

Recently I have registered in hit4hit.org, likesaz.com & social exchanges.net. I got visitors coming from these sites. I also checked them in Analytics. My Question is "Does these sites really Help to increase the Traffic & also ranking?" Will my Pages(which I have registered for traffic exchange) Ranking be improved?
Tell me suggestions OR Ideas about this.

We are not confirmed on your ranking would increase or not, because social media networks are useful as a traffic increasing source.

These sites only helps in increasing bounce rates & nothing else. This technique can also be lead to spam work. Avoid such things & focus on manual work.

Beware of Google Manual Penalty. I am not sure but you can be suspected for Google.
